Cheery Blossom on Mount Fuji (Super Luxe Ice Kacang).

The last two visits I took before the big transformation to make way for The Resort Café were weddings held at the (then) Chinese and Italian restaurants respectively for my sister's and BIL's wedding dinners. I let out a minor sad sigh for them as they will not get to show their kids where their wedding dinners were held but i'm sure with the spread here at The Resort Café, they wouldn't mind the demolition. Hahaha^^

While I was back home, I received an invitation to their media food review night and boy was it hard snapping with all the food distracting my focus whilst being really hangry.

My childhood growing up days were about family weekend hi-tea/buffet dinners- we usually take the drive out to PJ or KL for the offerings in Subang were not as exciting... but not anymore!

There are 8 main themes offered here:
  • Monumental Towers (Appetising Salad & Seasonal Fruits- like starfruits to NANGKA!! and whole mangoes in which you can request their help to slice it for you)
  • Malay Archipelago (dishes from Malaysia, Singapore & Indonesia)
  • Indo-Chiné (dishes from Thailand & Vietnam)
  • Oriental Far East (dishes from Japan, Korea & China)
  • Spices of India (dishes from Northern & Southern India)
  • Mirage of the Gulf (dishes from the Middle East)
  • Best from the West (Western comfort food, grills, carvings, rotisserie and churassco)
  • Desserts (old-school kuih muihs, pastries and cakes)

Right before I left back to Korea, I took my cousin here for their lunch session and I was glad that the offerings were consistent although 3hours isn't quite enough for my stomach to take in the entire empire of lekor, kuihs, som tam and dimsums in which i'll never be able to find in Korea.

It's a homely kind of buffet spread, a welcome back or come back soon kind of feast- all in one place for you to indulge.
